Westerra Credit Union Announces Change in Leadership 

Westerra Credit Union has announced that Steve Schmidle has resigned from his role as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Schmidle’s six-year tenure at Westerra has been marked by his dual contributions as both CEO and Chief Financial Officer, during which time he brought a professional approach and unwavering commitment that fostered numerous positive advancements for the organization. 

Mr. Schmidle will continue to lead as President and CEO until April 30, 2025. During this time, he will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to new leadership. A comprehensive Succession Plan is in place to ensure a timely and successful President/CEO transition. 

The Board of Directors extends its gratitude to Mr. Schmidle for his dedication and leadership.
